About this deal

They were not the happy couple that everyone thought. Both of them had secrets...big ones! Now, they risk losing their newfound happiness as they come to terms with their betrayals. After spending the day together, Charlie figures out that she isn't the only one faking it. It is clear that Silas has absolutely no idea of who she is either. Things go from strange to outright bizarre! As the story progresses through dual povs of Charlie and Silas we find that they have been long time family friends, boyfriend/girlfriend with one another for most their lives and their families are connected. Despite some issues I have with the book, I must say that this is a very unique and intriguing read and I really enjoyed most of it. The first of three serials, this book ends with a huge cliffhanger. That shouldn't be a surprise. If you're like me, you'll want to finish the series immediately.

The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger, but it was a very exciting one (not an oh-crap-why?! one). It was a very logical stopping point but it also spun the story in a crazy cool new direction that opened up such thrilling possibilities for the next book! Really, truly... don't wait to start this series -- just dive right in!

Question everything....or just go with the flow. Either way, you're not gonna be able to figure this puppy out. I actually had some ideas but the ending threw all those out the window. I'm going to be honest: Colleen Hoover has been responsible for many of my rants in the past and some might think me a masochist for even trying to enjoy another of her novels. I hated the way she glorified controlling boyfriends in Hopeless. I thought the writing in Slammed showcased an author who had not yet found her footing. And Maybe Someday had more than its fair share of slut-shaming. Seconda parte: Continuavo a ripetere di continuo nella mia mente “bello, originale, intrigante, scioccante, sto leggendo una genialata.” But it is highly stressed that the 'present' Silas & Charlie are very different to who they were in their 'past life'. They both despise that they cheated. Silas comes across as more emotional about it, he hates the guy Charlie cheated with instantly, and he's much more remorseful over his cheating. He is disgusted with himself and is already starting to love Charlie, he can't believe he would ever do such a thing. Charlie almost feels relieved that she wasn't the only one to cheat, she has been hating who she discovers she was. Part 3 certainly ties up the loose ends established for the reader in Part 1 and 2, but I also felt the ending was a bit anticlimactic. What had the potential to be a true thriller/mystery did not live up to the hype for me personally.

Despite the fact that this story continues to get more and more far-fetched, I found myself listening the audiobook intently. I would have liked it if it were toned down a little more, but I can't deny that I enjoyed it.The last book ended with the disappearance of Charlie and this book predominantly of Silas looking for her while. The rest well… pretty much the same. We begin to see this book turn into more of a mystery/thriller in Part 2. Charlie is not only missing after a night out with Silas at the end of Part 1, but the chapters narrated by her are chilling as they depict her in an institutional setting, being fed unknown medications by a nurse of few words.

For those who are interested in reading this series, my advice is definitely wait for the final book to come out before embarking on this mysterious amnesiac tale. Of note, most of this article was written by my friend and freelance writer, a spicy romance reader, and edited by me. Both of us are big Colleen Hoover fans!) CoHo has done it again. Written a wonderfully swoonworthy hero. I didn’t have to know who wrote which pov. Silas had Colleen written all over him. He was perfect. Sweet, funny and adorable. But the more they learn about the couple they used to be...the more they question why they were ever together to begin with. Forgetting is terrifying, but remembering may be worse. I guess I just feel like the book let me down. It had me building up so cool theories and then everything just fizzled out.

Looking for more suspenseful reads? Find out how far one twin will go to uncover where her “good half” has gone in Tarryn Fisher's upcoming novel, Good Half Gone! Can't wait until March--you can read these books now: Age Rating: Young Adults aged 14 and over. The characters are in high school and, while sexually active, this book is more of a thriller than it is a romance novel. The writing was what a reader would expect from these wonderful authors… just excellent as were all characters presented. The more the two find out about themselves the more questions come with each discovery.

The one thing I know for sure...I would take Silas as a boyfriend any day...memory or not. He is that yummy! Never Never is about 18 year old Silas & 17 year old Charlie, forgetting who they are & everyone else in the process, in the middle of a school day. I could literally do this gif over and over...and over! Every time I thought I had something figured out, nope - see gif! ;) I enjoyed placing myself in the shoes of both Silas and the other characters to try to appreciate how perspective affects the way we think. Then there is Charlie. Once again, it didn’t surprise me that Tarryn wrote her. She has that snarky kind of humor that Tarryn does so well. But this book left a lot of question unanswered… no, it left ALL the questions unanswered, so I really can’t wait for the next installment. Cheating: Well, they technically cheated on each other in the past. But neither of them remember doing it or why. And they both become pretty despised with themselves when they find out. the story doesnt feel like it was written by either author and then im just confused. lol. with this story, im finding myself in the last scenario. im confused, i have no idea what either author was thinking when they wrote this or why they both approved of it (especially part three), but wow. this is pretty meh. not great, not horrible. just pretty mediocre. and i have a hard time believing either author is okay with mediocrity. One of the highlights of "Never Never" is the unique writing style that Hoover and Fisher employ. The story is told from alternating perspectives, with each chapter switching between Charlie and Silas. This format adds an extra level of complexity to the plot and allows the reader to get inside the heads of both characters, making their discoveries and revelations all the more impactful.
