About this deal

Who Gives A Crap’s toilet papers blow any public washroom toilet paper we’ve used out of the water with their quality. They are both much stronger and softer than any public washroom toilet paper we’ve ever tried (and we’ve tried a lot). But to truly understand the cost, you kind of need to see it versus other brands’ prices. So, we found a study conducted by YourBestDigs.com on “The Best Toilet Paper”, which like this review, has recently been updated in 2022. The premium Who Gives a Crap bamboo toilet paperis definitely softer, although the difference to us was not enough to switch to bamboo. Worth knowing that Who Gives a Crapethicallysources their bamboo from localized family farms in the Sichuan Province. For me, I was obsessed with the idea of no longer buying rolls of toilet paper that came in that annoyingly thin clear plastic that’s so hard for consumers to recycle. And the onus falls on to us to deal with it, not the huge companies producing it.

Today, 50% of all company proceeds are donated to building toilets and all paper materials are bamboo or recycled (which are sourced and manufactured in China). Plus, the brand ships to countries all over the world, providing people everywhere with an opportunity to shop for eco-friendly and bump-friendly products.Sirtori-Cortina, Daniela (2022-03-29). "The Battle for Your Toilet Paper Is On". Bloomberg.com . Retrieved 2022-05-01. These are the benefits for consumers and the environment, but it doesn’t stop there. The brand is doing big and impressive things with its business model to help the people who most need it. As for softness, no scratching or cringing going on here, we would never have known it was recycled in a blind feel test. Therefore, after using both Sustainable Earth by Staples and Cascades Pro Perform, it was imperative that we find an alternate zero waste toilet paper, which was where Who Gives A Crap came in. If you’d like to read more about it, the NRDC recently released their third sustainability “report card” for common toilet paper brands and both Who Gives A Crap 100% Recycled TP and Premium 100% Bamboo TP are on the list: “The Issue with Tissue 2021 Scorecard.”

I’ve read where some people believe otherwise, but I really, truthfully think the quality of their toilet paper is so much better. Who Gives A Crap vs “traditional” toilet paper brands We’ve used Who Gives A Crap products for years but wanted to learn more about its mission, sustainability and how exactly its products are made. So we chatted with Danny Alexander, co-founder and chief of product and purpose (chief of PP) at Who Gives A Crap, to get the lowdown. Besides sustainability, Alexander says the other big problem Who Gives A Crap wants to help solve is the fact that billions of people worldwide don’t have access to adequate water and sanitation facilities. “The toilet, the world’s most life-saving invention, is out of reach for billions of people around the world,” says Alexander. “Our big, airy, audacious goal as a business is to ensure that every single human on Earth has access to clean water and a toilet by the year 2050.”I suppose a lot of this is down to personal preference and I think it’s hard to figure out which is the most eco-friendly. I went into more detail about eco-friendly toilet paper here and discuss alternatives to toilet paper as well. Forest Friendly Tissues While we’re not sure if it’s quite “as soft as unicorn kisses and as strong as 1000 ponies” like they claim (mostly because we’re not sure how soft and strong those things are), we’re confident insaying it’s absolutely soft enough and very strong.

Alexander highlights a few of Who Gives A Crap’s most exciting partnerships, including Wateraid, a large, global NGO that works across Asia, Africa and South America; Shofco, which installs aerial water pipes in the inner cities of Kenya; and Sanergy, which builds and sells toilets, removes waste for customers and turns it into fertilizer that it sells to offset the cost of building toilets.Toilet paper was one of the first “zero waste” swaps we made when we started living zero waste. We know that technically, using a non-reusable product like toilet paper isn’t “zero” waste. But living zero waste for us means being more mindful of our choices, so that we can reduce our impact on the environment. Currently, they offer wholesale in Australia, the UK, and the USA so you may be able to find it in stores in those countries. When you take into account Who Gives A Crap’s sustainability, its charitable efforts and its top-notch quality, there’s no question that Who Gives A Crap toilet paper is worth it. In our opinion, it’s the best option out there for people who want to shop more consciously. Who Gives a Crap are B Corp™ certified. They have an overall score of 108.9; you have to get a score of 80 or over to be certified. To put that into context the average company would score 50. This just shows that overall the company is deemed to have high standards of social and environmental impact. About B Corp Certification
