About this deal

I have a modest collection of watches, including 2 other Seiko 5 models, one of which is 14 years old. So, the Seiko 5 is well known to me. Automatics are vintage cool to me and are also GREEN, meaning environmentally responsible. Automatics each have a personality. Quartz watches don't have personalities being more of a robot. In 2020, Seiko incorporated the 5 Sports series into the Seiko 5 collection. The collection thus comprises the Sports, Suits, Street, Specialist, and Sense series in addition to classic Seiko 5 models. While the Sports line mostly offers diving and pilot's watches, you'll find some colorful, stainless steel diving watches in the Suits line as well. The Seiko Sense and Street series are home to playful, multicolored designs. Lastly, the Specialist line features diving watches made of stainless steel, some of which have a bronze or golden exterior.

The SNKL45 is also extremely versatile and meant as an everyday watch. Regardless of the occasion, this watch will work as your trusted friend and timekeeper, and it will look great whilst serving you. As is common with affordable watches, the bracelet is the part of the watch that has been compromised with the most. It has some rattle and doesn’t feel completely robust, but it works and it is quite comfortable on the wrist. It also looks great with the watch. If you're not used to automatic mechanical watches, then you need to accept that they'll gain or lose a few seconds a day; even luxury automatics costing thousands do that... Now and then I've gone off the reservation with other brands including Hamilton, Eterna (a great Swiss watch I like better than Rolex) and most recently Orient automatics but I don't wear those to work. My Orient Ray seems to keep nearly perfect time out of the box but it cost three times as much as this Seiko 5 and the Orient mineral crystals are said to not be as durable as the Seiko Hardlex crystals and I'd hate to prove that point with my Orient Ray so the Seiko 5 goes to work. I'd put a really tough crystal, affordability and good traditional looks in the plus column for Seiko 5's. (The Seiko Hardlex crystal is the next best thing to sapphire, and really holds up.)The Seiko 5 SNKL41 is built as an everyday timepiece with a touch of sportiness. It has all of the defining elements of a Seiko 5 (obviously), and it is also exceptionally versatile. This is a watch that is perfect for someone who is looking for a trusted wrist partner that will hold up to all kinds of abuse that you subject it to and also work with any outfit you decide to put on. This is generally a very simple procedure. We can do this for you, or you can get the watch adjusted locally. Option 1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent I am very happy with this little "Fleiger style" watch, particularly with it's dial, which compares to any that I have seen in the affordable watch space. The dial has a great deal of well composed detail, this is subtle and hard to see in photographs. In person this very inexpensive watch actually looks high-end. A downside of this watch is that it only has a water resistance of 30m. This means it can resist water splashes but is not suitable for swimming and diving. It would have been nice with better water resistance, but it is important to have in mind that it is built as an everyday watch and not a sports watch. One reason for the relatively low water resistance is its crown. The crown is a push-pull crown and does therefore not protect against water in the same way as a screw-down does.

The Seiko 5 range consists of a wide collection of timepieces for all kinds of occasions and purposes. These timepieces have a lot in common, which defines the Seiko 5 range, but the most important for you to know is that they are all automatic, and they all offer exceptional value for money. But one thing is for sure, this movement will likely not let you down, which after all is the most important thing. Seiko 5 SNKL41 bracelet The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster is celebrated for its practicality as well as its elegance. A deployment clasp is used to fasten the bracelet around the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: The good news is that if you wish to change, this watch also looks great on straps as well. Specifications Seiko 5's are not the best automatic watches in the world and nobody in Switzerland is losing sleep over Seiko 5's. However if nothing else Seiko 5's are very durable and since the technology isn't exactly groundbreaking they are super affordable. Translation, Seiko 5's are a decent watch that last a very long time even under rough use, yet relative to anything else that is as durable they are really cheap. In short a bargain if you get one that keeps time out of the box to within 1 minute or so per week.

Recommended Products

The watch has Seiko’s proprietary Hardlex crystal. At this price point, this can be expected from Seiko. It is more scratch-resistant than regular mineral glass which is a bonus, but it is not as tough as sapphire crystal. Das Armband habe ich gewechselt. Nicht weil die Qualität des von Seiko gelieferten Armbands schlecht ist, sondern lediglich aus optischen Gründen.
