About this deal

The only thing we noticed was the top covering didn't seem to fit completely, it was a struggle getting the pegs in the ground, and tying it to the main tent!

The first time I used it was just outside Brighton, me and the dog. With my son and his friend in other small tents on the next pitch. For the review score, we gave ProAction 6 Man 2 Room Tunnel Tent 8.6 out of 10. To reach that score we use information on what customers are saying about the same product from a number of retailers, to create an aggregate score.

We select the bestselling pop up tents, buy every pop up tent we test and take them to a field to peg them up and record how they stand up to the wind and rain during a blustery week. Pitching and collapsing Then folding the tent in half vertically, and then again horizontally to leave you with the tent folded into a circle To get the quality score, we’re looking at a number of factors, but typically we’re studying the brand of the product, the warranty included and basing it on what customers have to say about the quality. It is so easy to put up, completely idiot proof. You simply can't get it wrong. The front porch bit was big enough to put the coolbox on one side and the general big camping box on the other so I had the full space inside for my sleeping bag and clothes etc. I'm only 5ft4, and it wasn't tall enough to stand up in, but I didn't really find that to be an issue. It didn't feel cramped in any way.Hi Elaine, I would never compare a Pro-Action tent to a Coleman Weathermaster, that would be like putting a wendy house up against the Taj Mahal hahahaha. It was sweltering hot when I first used it, but it seemed to stay quite cool inside, not that I was inside it much in the day. Having the two air vents definitely helps keep a little air moving. The second time I used it, it lashed with rain and was quite windy during the night and I was completely dry and cosy - well, at least until the very wet dog sneaked in!

We camped over a week at two locations with 4 adults and 4 children. I hadn't camped since the Scouts but setting up and taking down the tent was reasonably straight forward due to the colour coded poles and simple design. A bit of 'jiggling' about is required to get the whole structure straight and even, although the more experienced individual will probably find this easier. It stayed quite cool in the sun during the day (it is quite a pale colour) and it kept us very dry in the rain! We pitch and peg out each tent following the instructions, taking into account how long it takes us, how straightforward the process is, and any struggles we have along the way.We loved and had a Pro Action 9 man tent. It was not called a 'Canberra when we got ours and only had 1 main entrance and 3 bedroom openers. The Canberra I believe is a totally different tent. Manufacturers don't appear to take storing kit into account when labelling tents, so you might find yourself short on space.

A handy rule of thumb is to subtract one person (or two people if you have a lot of stuff) from the number listed. This means if there are two of you (for example) you'd probably be best suited to a three-person tent. 2) Look for air vents and consider their size and quality During the course of our testing, all the tents experience heavy downpours, wind and muddy conditions. We also take note of tents that struggle against the wind and need frequent re-pegging. Some tents actually blow over entirely. I have the camping bug BIG time but trying to get everything to come together is hard when my wife is disabled, and no 2 days are the same. But i will prevail and win in the end and will meet up with the great people on here at sometime. There was only 2 of us using it, as my partner is too tall to fit in smaller tents! But it had room for our double sleeping space, and all of our bags and belongings beside us, with plenty of room left.Ventilation is fully adjustable and generous so that even damp conditions can be aired out in a short time. On the second day it lashed down with rain and the tent started to leak on the seam where the bedrooms hang, it then started to run down the bedroom netting. We decided to bin the tent when we got home but it has not put off the Wife so we got a new Gelert Horizon 6 to go out with next time.
