About this deal

The suction. Hands down. It lifted up the biggest, heaviest rug Jen has in her house. That means it can get deep into carpet pile, which is reassuring and satisfying at the same time. While the standard Henry has strong suction power and does a decent job on most surfaces, it doesn't excel at cleaning carpets. The Harry solves this issue by including a turbo tool that's brilliant for digging deeper into fibres. It also does a good job on pet hairs and hard floors.

Over the years we’ve seen his family grow rapidly. We’ve since been introduced to Hetty, Charles, George and James, among others. They specialise in all sorts of jobs whether it’s clearing up troublesome pet hair or devouring spilled liquids. In addition to the basic vacuum, the HVR200 comes with Numatic's AS1 stainless steel accessory kit. This includes extension tubes, soft brush and a harder cleaner. Whilst the Henry Xtra and the Henry Hoover share many similarities, if you look at Henry vs Henry Xtra there are some key differences which explains why there is a difference in price. The Henry Xtra comes with two additional heads – the AiroBrush and a designated hard floor brush. As the name suggests, the Henry Xtra is just like the regular Henry but a little bit more. He comes with a host of different accessories and features which means he can cope with just about any job going.

A thing to note is that this vacuum cleaner may not be suitable if you want an appliance to vacuum your home and car. It is a bulky vacuum cleaner and, again, it is corded so unless you have a driveway or a guaranteed parking space outside your home, the Henry Pet may not be the vacuum cleaner for you. Detailed below are what you should look for – or what you should ask yourself – before you buy your Henry vacuum cleaner. Dust Bin Capacity Testing dozens of vacuums has allowed her to see which model excels at which task, and to judge them on all of the crucial factors of suction, as well as ease of use and storage, which is important in her very compact space. She's also constantly looking out for the newest vacuum releases and technology so that she can keep you better informed on which appliance to buy. The Henry HVR160 was our former appliance editor Jen's favourite vacuum cleaner. It's robust, versatile, and easy to move around to clean up messes big and small. It also comes with an affordable price tag. Most of these machines have only one or two controls. An off/on switch and the cord winder. They may have a high/low setting (like the traditional Henry) and they may have a wet/dry setting (like the George). Finally, the Xtra can switch between hard floors and carpets as a special feature. Storage It weighs only 8kgs, quite light for what it is, and looks reminiscent of the standard model except for the ‘Xtra’ which has been added into the design. It has a 9 litre dustbin capacity, much higher than other models and a perfect use of the extra space. It also comes with a patented Air-O brush which has been specifically devised for pet hair and which only comes with this model, the George 4-in-1, and the Harry. It has a wide range of attachments which are all aimed at making cleaning easier across the board. As its core, the Reach is the Henry Compact. This means the vac has a six litre capacity, 10 metre power cord and a 620W motor. It's slightly heavier than the compact, but only by 0.2kg.

We have covered just about everything there is you need to know before you make your choice. The Henry vacuum cleaner range is extensive and iconic. There is a high chance that they will be the only thing to survive a nuclear explosion and still work. It might sound like a complex term regarding suction or energy efficiency, Numatic International are the manufacturers of the Henry. Incidentally, although known as Henry Hoovers, they aren’t Hoovers by brand. Energy-Efficient Performance: The Henry Reach is built with energy efficiency in mind, minimizing power consumption without compromising on cleaning prowess, saving you both time and energy. Continuing on our green theme, George the vacuum cleaner is another member of the Henry family guaranteed to impress with cleaning prowess… arguably more so. The George is a four-in-one cleaning machine, able to handle wet or dry carpets, upholstery cleaning and even work as a smaller tool given the right attachment (which comes with it). As well as extra storage, James’ bright yellow face brings you a wind-up cord, A Class energy efficiency, and an 8l drum for dust and dirt. As if that weren’t already pretty amazing, it also manages to beat its predecessor in terms of weight, coming in at an impressive 7kgs. With more than 26 metres of reach, the James outdoes the original Henry and leaves us all in awe.If you're looking for a bagged cylinder vac to take care of pet hair on a budget, then the Henry Pet won't disappoint. After using this vacuum for a number of weeks, Jen was sure that this could easily become her family vac, and loved the simplicity of cleanly disposing of the dust bag rather than being met by a cloud of debris when it came to emptying the tank. A good bagged, canister vacuum can be hard to find, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune, and the 10-metre cleaning range and attachments definitely go far enough here to make this vac worth your while.
