About this deal

All manner of calamity and hilarity ensues as Brielle attempts to learn the ropes of her new position. If your evil daughter comes near Willow again, I will have her charged by the police for harassment and assault. Possible Triggers: Yes Loss of a spouse to suicide (off page), the H has 2 children from previous marriage, the H used prostitution after his wife died (off page mostly but a few on page) *mention of using prostitutes while married by other reader, but I don’t remember the book to say accurately* And there is a ~13 year age difference between the h (25) and H (38). And, shockarma, his parents are nice and think she's just the kind of girl to help the H get a grip. I swerve, trying my best to avoid him, but it’s too late, and I hit him full force, running him over.

However, as she starts to touch his d*ck to give him a blow job, he can’t take it, feels disgusted and he stops her immediately. He sucked with his kids, he wasn't even present in their lives and honestly the sex scenes with him were cringy, not at all sexy. I struggled with the H being a cold-hearted jerk a lot of the time and never fully understanding where his issues with love really stemmed from, they had a huge conflict H was adamant that he never wanted to get married or have children again, the h wanted this that was resolved way too easily and unbelievably (to me at least), and there were some editing issues in the beginning especially that bugged (like " being in the wrong place in the sentence/paragraph), and there were also some things that felt like they were thrown in for the sake of more drama but never really addressed properly again the prostitute scene (see below spoilers) and the big one to me was the fact that the H didn't want his coworkers or even parents to know about their relationship . The descriptions used for the characters and the dialogue between the characters was incredible and the book was so well written! The writing is not my thing, the pacing is all over the place, and a lot of character actions come out of left field. Now we have the kids who we’re both realistic and acted how so thought kids their age would act and I really like how we had a bit of representation with Willow.

Wie immer, bei den Büchern von T L Swan, hat es mir unglaublich viel Vergnügen bereitet es zu lesen. People are not perfect, they mess up and hurt each other, but they also change and forgive - and that's the beauty of character development, when an author makes it all believable.I was HOOKED from the start and experienced the most wonderful and yet angsty emotions throughout, talk about a roller coaster ride! So I was all ready for my road trip onto Rom Com Road, a stretch of highway I am very familiar with in Romancelandia. Do NOT assume the expected because when he reveals why he is the way he is, it makes total sense and I liked that it was not a cliché reason but a different one.

The heroes inability to commit (or even know what it was that he really wanted) and his frequent f*ck ups pared off nicely with all the GROVELING that followed after.

I was a little sceptical about reading this book, as I was worried that a lot of the previous book would be rehashed and reused and when the first chapter does pretty much retell the initial meeting of Brielle and Julian but through Brielle’s eyes, my fears were almost realised. The relationship that develops between the children and Brielle is genuine and adds a great side-story to the overall plot.
