About this deal

The G640 Large Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad from Logitech gives you plenty of room for the mouse to move, and the rubber base ensures it stays firmly in place during intense gaming sessions. The buildup of dirt, dust, sweat, and what have you will always cause a cloth pad to feel different after a while though you’re definitely right that some pads are more sensitive to this than others. Compared to other cloth surfaces I’ve tested though it’s a standard speed and give great control at low DPI. I mean, 3mm is not thick by any means, but this one has little or no sponginess to it so it feels quite thin.

The GSRs right now are unplayable in the middle region, the Qck+ also behaves inconsistently (sometimes glides like ice, and sometimes very muddy). The logo on the pad is placed well out of the way so you won’t normally come into contact with it, but if you do it does feel a bit different from the regular cloth, which can have an impact on the glide.I’m not saying that those other people are wrong, I’m just framing why I’d recommend you to look at the pads I mentioned above since I feel like they will offer you a nice amount of micro control with a glide that doesn’t feel limited for those larger swipes.

More control on your mousepad is great for precision and accuracy when aiming, so if you’re into those types of games more than anything else, then the G640 is a solid option. The only problem I have with this pad is that the "Logitech G" logo at the bottom right corner is annoying as hell as it is printed on the pad itself (unlike my QCK+ Fnatic edition where the logo feels like its part of the pad). I'd say the Qck+ has less static friction and its rubber base underneath the cloth feels more even when you drag your hand across it.Logitech's products always have a high quality and you notice that they have had many years to perfect their products. To be honest, I’m a fan of the work that Logitech has been doing in the gaming industry, in terms of producing gaming gear of good quality. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I do like it despite the annoying logo problem that can be solved unless you have a serious case of OCD.

Clearly, it’s less about the fact that it is an all-round excellent mousepad and more about the fact that those gamers prioritize performance over anything else. It didn’t really hamper my performance since the curve is very minimal and the thin nature (3mm) of the pad meant that the pad evened out by itself once my mouse got close to the curve, but it’s still something worth mentioning. For comparison’s sake, the test unit that I got for my Endgame Gear MPC450 mousepad review was also 3mm thick and it felt firmer than this does. The G640 is, despite being advertised as a ‘moderate friction’ pad, pretty fast from what I’ve experienced. The Gigantus Team Razer Edition is a pad that I’ve personally never tested (though I believe it’s one of the slower pads out there, at least going by mainstream brands) so I can’t say too much about it, but I do know that the Gigantus V2 is a great ‘middle of the road’ pad.

It would have been nice to see a smaller logo or for this to be located on the base because if you want to use that bottom right corner it will get in your way. Logitech G640 – This pad I know the least about but I think it’s too similar to the Steelseries QCK+ so I guess not really a point going for that? It’s only natural for a mousepad to degrade after time and you’ll see this happen with pretty much any pad that isn’t a hard pad to varying degrees. Hi, I use a Zowie G-SR-SE Divina Blue mousepad and have used it for quite some time, about a year or more. The Logitech G640 offers a (for a cloth pad) pretty fast glide while still offering more than enough stopping power and micro adjustment control, and it doesn’t require a whole lot of maintenance to keep it at that level either. Whether using an optical or laser mouse, G640 gives gamers access to enhanced sensor accuracy and precision. ZOWIE G-SR – I mean it’s a really controlling pad from what I’ve read but I was kinda convinced at first when I saw that CeRq who again takes great fast flicks is able to AWP with it in such way.
