I'm only disappointed at how short this was. Not just the book, but the entire story happens in a period of about 3 months. That's way too less for the amount of drama I was promised before reading. but little does she know that her psycho husband was obsessed at first glance and was gonna treat her like his queen😫🦋💍 An arranged marriage where I’d be at the mercy of the man who’d no doubt see me as his property, where I was sure he’d be just as cruel and violent as every other Made Man I’d known in my life. Leone’s ability to create complex and multifaceted characters is commendable. Gabriel, with his brooding charisma, exudes a dangerous allure that is impossible to resist. The protagonist’s growth and inner strength make her a relatable and empowering heroine. The dynamics between the characters are electric, filled with tension and raw passion.This had a bit of typical mafia characters like a young, very innocent heroine and the big bad intense mafia hero who was to be married to her. like I said, even though it was a type of book I have read many times, the intensity of the characters kept me hooked and I loved it a lot! The suspense was good and now I want the stories of the side characters, I hope we get them soon! There is something just so consumable about Jenika Snow books- how the insane chemistry and insta love blossoms into an addictive romance. She has a keen ability to right dark and dangerous men that would die for their ladies- swoony only when it comes to their women. And Nikolai Petrov is the perfect alpha psycho boyfriend- a ruthless and terrifying mafioso manipulating his world just how he likes it for the power and legacy of his family….and this includes an arranged marriage with young and innocent Amara and a delicate truce with her family. amara has been forced into an arranged marriage with a suitor of her abusive misogynistic pig of a father’s choice, Gabriel, once the bane of her existence, becomes an intoxicating presence in her life. Against all odds, she finds herself falling for him, defying her own expectations and struggling with her conflicting emotions. Their relationship is a battleground of conflicting desires, as Gabriel’s obsession with her becomes both alluring and dangerous.

the 🔥 (slow burn). before I get into this, let me say that Nikolai is a PATIENT man 😱. I don’t know how many men out there would wait SO long AFTER getting married 😬😅. I gotta give him props 🤷🏻‍♀️ (they get married at about 31%…) Gabriel Corso: The epitome of a dark and brooding hero, Gabriel is a sinfully attractive mafia prince.
