As someone who grew up in the East Midlands, having day trips to Skegness, I really enjoyed the setting around Fantasy Island and amusement arcades, and looking forward to revisiting after reading the book. What I also enjoyed, is that it was set in Skegness, a much loved holiday destination that I'm familiar with, so I can easily imagine myself there, the sights, sounds and smells(side note, I last went to Skegness in 2019, pre pandemic, and Jedward were the entertainment one night! year old Jase is spending the summer holidays at the Castle Rock caravan park with his auntie and grandma, who has dementia.Even reading out loud I still find it quite daunting, so the font in there is the biggest font you could put in and there’s lots of pictures.
