I was recently made privy to the difference between a convertible car seat and an all-in-one car seat (I had not a clue!

It’s a multi group car seat that can be used as a rear facing infant car seat for babies (weighing up to 13kg) changing to a forward facing car seat utilising the 5-point harness (9-18kg).The other components of the car seat can also be cleaned (primarily by hand with mild soap and water with the exception of the buckle). There are also two different inserts which you can remove very easily as you change stages both of which are machine washable. As my son has nearly overgrown his previous car seat I will now be using this as our permanent one and can honestly recommend this model. However, the seat can be used as a rear-facing seat until your child is 13kg, around 12 to 15 months. This Graco Milestone All-In-One is a Group 0+/1/2/3) Car Seat in Aluminium and will keep your little one safe from birth to 12 years.

There are two reclining positions for the forward facing seat and I usually have my son leaning slightly back rather than upright in case he falls asleep. As your child grows, you simply pull the headrest upwards, and this simultaneously adjusts the harness height too – so no need to thread straps through the seat when you need to change the height.The height adjustment literally could not be more simple – a one-handed squeeze-and-pull movement on the headrest, and you’ve got instant adjustability. This car seat meets all safety standards and regulations, providing parents with peace of mind regarding their child's protection during car journeys. I found it much easier to continue using the 5-point harness for the Group 2 stage as well as you don’t have to refit the seat, simply raise harness and headrest and off you go. I love it when I find a product that will last through multiple ages, stages, and growth cycles, and the Graco® Milestone All-in-1 Car Seat is just that.

I love that it is adaptable enough that it works for both my eldest (2 1/2) and youngest (6 months). The final product I’ve been testing out has been the Milestone All-In-One car seat and it is just brilliant! It’s a testament to the design of the padding that even at the very top of the height range, Bear found the seat super-comfortable. The multi-height headrest and harness system has 10 positions and the fact that you can do it so easily with one hand is definitely appealing.The Milestone can rear face from birth until 13kg (my 2 year old is just under 13kg) and then forward face in the 5 point harness from 9-18kg and using a seat belt as a high back booster from 15kg-36kg. There's even a detachable cup holder which is a nice little touch that we love and the box it arrives in is also handy for a bit of fun playtime between siblings too! over seat only problem was as son got older he figured out how to undo himself as the button was easy to.

The only thing that I'm disappointed with is that although it reclines, the instructins say not to recline the seat when it's facing forward. The seat also has a cup holder, which isn’t important for safety, but is a big plus for my 5 year old. I'm now a Mum to two boys and I've continued writing, photographing and videoing ever since as a way to remember all of the little details that make up this crazy but amazing journey of life. Before moving to a to forward-facing 5-point harness seat for babies who weigh between 9kg and 18kg ( Group 1).We have a big people carrier with individual seats throughout, so we could fit five if we needed too, but two in a small car would mean the child in the middle would be pretty squished! While my kids are 2 years apart in age, they aren’t that far of in measurements, so, surprisingly, the buckle position is the same for each of them making it even easier to accommodate either child.
